Cookie policy

Short version: this site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from anyone else's server. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

What we do not use

This website does not use:

  • cookies of any kind — not for sessions, not for preferences, not for measurement;
  • analytics, from us or anybody else;
  • advertising, retargeting or conversion pixels;
  • social media embeds, share widgets or comment systems;
  • tag managers, A/B testing tools or session recorders;
  • fingerprinting of any kind.

There is no sign-in on this site, nothing to put in a basket, and no newsletter, so there is nothing a cookie would be for.

The one thing we do store

If you press the light/dark button in the header, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage under the key fnder-theme, so the site opens in the theme you chose next time. That is the entire contents of it.

  • It is not a cookie and is never sent to our server.
  • It holds one word: light or dark.
  • It is written only when you press the button. If you never do, the site simply follows your device's own appearance setting and stores nothing.

Under the ePrivacy rules this counts as storage strictly necessary for a preference you explicitly asked for, which is why there is no banner asking you about it.

Third-party content

Nothing on this site is loaded from another domain. The two typefaces — Inter and Open Sans, both open-licensed — are served from this site's own server rather than from a font CDN, specifically so that visiting a page here does not quietly tell a third party that you did. There are no iframes, no external images and no external scripts.

Server logs

Our host keeps ordinary web server logs: the page requested, the time, the IP address the request came from, and the browser's user-agent string. These are a normal part of running a website — they exist for security and troubleshooting. We do not use them to build a profile of you, and we do not combine them with anything else.

What about the app?

The fnder Android app contains no analytics or advertising SDK either. What it does store on your phone — your radius, theme and language, and your sign-in token — is described in the privacy policy.

Clearing it

Clearing site data for this domain in your browser removes the theme preference, and the site goes back to following your device. If your browser blocks local storage, the site still works; it will just forget your theme choice when you leave.
